HOW I FOUND MY TRUTH & PURPOSE THROUGH TRAVEL

DISCOVER YOURSELF THROUGH TRAVEL …

Birmingham is a very special place to me. It was the place that led me to my truth and purpose. The place that got me started on my travel and self discovery journey in 2018 when I was blessed to see 17 countries in a year. The UK was my first stop and my first traveling experience of 2018. Birmingham is where my purpose found me, my truth, and my passion for transformational travel.

These feelings allow me to really connect to my inner being.

Since traveling solo, I began self reflecting a lot and applying the knowledge I read in self help books as I flew. This encourages me to keep growing as I travel the world. I began connecting with the British culture and the way of life in the UK since I was traveling back and forth from New York every few days. It allowed me to explore a great deal of the city, meet locals and venture out with them.  I was given the opportunity to explore the canals, experience the food and connect with the local way of life and myself.  In my solo explorations, I am filled immensely with feelings of bliss and peace. These feelings allow me to really connect to my inner being.

Lost Layovers was created to share with you how I’m on a mission to travel, empower, and inspire people to explore and evolve to find their truth and purpose in life.

This is the reason why I created this blog. Lost Layovers was created to share with you how I’m on a mission to travel, empower, and inspire people to explore and evolve to find their truth and purpose in life. I want to share the world with you, so you can have the experiences and feelings I have, and still am, fortunate to experience. I travel the world and transform not only myself and my life, but others lives too, one destination at a time.

It’s a mental thing and there’s a lot of self empowerment in that.

As a result, the constant back and forth from NY to the UK really instilled a sense of strength in me. I worked long hours every other day, crossing the pond multiple times a week with not much rest. As soon as I would arrive to NY or BHX I would hit the gym to make sure I stayed in shape, which also kept my mind sharp and my energy levels high. This allowed me to continue to explore and not get tired, it’s a mental thing and there’s a lot of self empowerment in that.

I started to get really creative in BHX with my photography. The picture above, to date, is still one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken. I did a lot of self reflection (hence the reflection in the photo) at these canals, about life, how grateful I was to be where I currently was. I pondered on what I desired to accomplish with traveling & photography, and how I see myself traveling the world in the future. These canals hold a lot of my personal self reflection that I’m now sharing with you.

“Travel far enough, you meet yourself.” – David Mitchell

I’m a person who likes to move around a lot, collect and create as many experiences as I can. Traveling is the path that enables me to really get to a place of self love, reflection, expression, connection and personal growth. It all started here, in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
